Contemporary Fiction Editorial Review
Exquisite Corpse is a deeply unsettling novel that artfully delves into the minds of four men during the height of the AIDS crisis in New Orleans. The book intricately weaves graphic themes with poetic prose, making its disturbing content feel almost hypnotic. Readers can expect a tour de force of grotesque imagery, as the author explores the complex narratives of serial killers, showcasing their tragic backstories alongside their horrifying actions. As one reviewer noted, the writing is beautifully crafted, beautifully juxtaposing horror and lyricism, resulting in an unforgettable reading experience for those with a taste for the extreme. However, this is not for the fainthearted, as it doesn't shy away from graphic detail and psychological complexity.
