Beş yıl sonra yazdığı insanlar Arasında EşitsizliğinKaynağı ile yine dikkatleri üzerine çekti. Toplum Sözleşmesi yayınlandığı günden bu yanatoplumsal yaşama dair temel eserlerden biri sayılmaktadır. Rousseau, ana babaların çocuklara karşı olan görevlerini anlattığı Emile 'de sadece çocuk eğitimini ele almakla kalmamış, yaşadığı dönemin sosyal, siyasal ve dinsel kurumlarının da çarpıcı bir eleştirisini yapmıştır.Yaşar Avunç (ıyzj): l.Ü. Edebiyat Fakültesi Fransız ve Roman Filolojisi bölümünü bitirdi. 1952-1954 yılları arasında Sarre (Saarland) Üniversitesi Avrupa Enstitüsünde eğitim gördü. Bankacılık yaptığı sırada şube müdürlüğünden yönetim kurulu üyeliğine kadar çeşitli kademelerde görev aldı. Bir süre Türk Fransız Kültür Derneğibaşkanlığını yürüttü. Arasında H. Bergson, M, Tournier, H. de Balzac, J. Genet, A. de Saint-Exupéry, J.J.Rousseau'mm da bulunduğu pek çok Fransız yazar ve düşünürden otuzun üstünde eseri Türkçeye çevirdi.
