- A shadowy group seeks to destroy humans throughout space and on other solar system planets. Nobody even knew they existed, so nobody has any idea why they're doing this or what their next move might be. Corinna is visiting Mars on a contract for her one-woman bioengineering company. She's nearly killed when she finds a canister of the lethal molecules the group has made to destroy everything. Before it's all over, she has to make it through a gang fight between the smugglers in her lover's, Oziel's, barrio of Caracas in Venezuela. The authorities don't take the shadowy group seriously enough, so Corinna and Oziel wind up fighting them. And Oziel, as the one who's good with kids, is saddled with an awkward video game-playing teenager whom Corinna could do without. But it turns out that kindness is never useless, and in the end it's essential to save Earth, not just space.
