The Bitch

"The Bitch," a 1979 film starring Jackie Collins, attempts to replicate the success of its predecessor, "The Stud," with its abundance of softcore sex and disco scenes. However, it falls short of capturing the same allure. While the film does have a more developed plot compared to "The Stud," the storyline focuses more on Fontaine Khaled (played by Joan Collins) getting involved with a gambler and a stolen diamond ring than delivering an engaging narrative. The parties and sex scenes in "The Bitch" fail to live up to expectations, lacking the intensity and explicitness needed to make them memorable. It seems that it's the actress, Joan Collins, who holds the movie together with her captivating performance and stunning fashion choices. Her character, Fontaine Khaled, serves as a precursor to her later iconic role in "Dynasty." "The Bitch" is presented in its best form on Blu-ray, with improved picture quality. However, the extras included in this edition are not particularly noteworthy, except for trailers for both "The Bitch" and its predecessor. Overall, the film is only worth watching for fans of Joan Collins. Customer Reception: - One customer rated the film five stars and expressed their love for seeing Joan Collins in an acting role. - Another customer appreciated the interesting concept of the movie and confirmed that the item was in good condition with clear and concise filming.
