Blu-ray Editorial Review
Piccadilly [Blu-ray] is a captivating piece of film history showcasing the talents of Anna May Wong, known for her role in Shanghai Express. This film stands out due to its delicate camera work, color-tinting, and insightful portrayal of inter-racial relationships, which was rarely explored in the 1920s. Viewers are drawn in by the film's emotive performances and beautiful location shooting, making it a visually stunning experience. Despite some critiques regarding the inserted dialogue cards, many appreciate the film's intriguing narrative and the remarkable performances of Wong and Gilda Gray. Overall, it is considered a significant piece for those interested in classic cinema.
